Stackers

Based on the method of stacking (travel) and type of stockpile they produce, ALPINE offers stackers with fixed, luffable, and/or slewable boom configurations. Tripper cars are an integral part of linear traveling stackers and can include special features such as material bypass. ALPINE supplies two general types of stackers:

LINEAR STACKERS

Linear Stackers travel in a straight line along the conveyor, which feeds material to the Stacker, and dumps material onto a longitudinal stockpile alongside the conveyor.

✓ Stacking capacity up to 20,000 t/h
✓ Boom lengths typically 30 - 65 m
✓ Rail gauge typically 8 - 16 m

RADIAL STACKERS

Radial Stackers pivot around a fixed point along a radial rail or on tires, with an optional luffing and/or telescoping boom. They receive material from a conveyor near the pivot point, and deposit material onto a kidney-shaped stockpile.

✓ Stacking capacity up to 4,000 t/h
✓ Boom length up to 100 m
✓ Slew radius up to 50 m

LINEAR STACKERS

Linear Stackers travel in a straight line along the conveyor, which feeds material to the Stacker, and dumps material onto a longitudinal stockpile alongside the conveyor.

✓ Stacking capacity up to 20,000 t/h
✓ Boom lengths typically 40 - 65 m & outreach up to 55 m
✓ Rail gauge typically 8 - 16 m

Reclaimers

Based on the method of reclaim and the type of bulk material, ALPINE offers reclaimers using bucket wheel or scraper technology. To reclaim material from a stockpile, Bucket Wheel Reclaimers use large wheels with a continuous pattern of buckets, while Scraper Reclaimers use a continuous pattern of scraper blades mounted onto a chain. ALPINE supplies four main types of Reclaimers:

BUCKET WHEEL BOOM TYPE

Boom Type Bucket Wheel Reclaimers have a bucket wheel mounted on the end of a long boom, which carries a belt conveyor. They can be rail or crawler mounted.

One variant is a Drum Reclaimer with up to 15 rows of buckets across the full stockpile.

✓ Reclaiming capacity up to 6,500 t/h
✓ Rail gauge typically 30 - 60 m

Conveyors & Feeders

Our conveyors and feeders can be designed to accommodate any material type, throughput, and environmental requirements. ALPINE offers a complete range of belt conveyors and feeders for bulk terminal applications in stockyards and ports, from complete turnkey systems to individual conveyor components:

TROUGHED CONVEYORS

Troughed Conveyors are the most common of conveyor types, offering the highest mass flow and economical transport of materials between two fixed receiving and discharge points. Transfer stations with chute work connect different conveyors into a system, with fixed or movable discharge point (via tripper, shuttle conveyor or radial stacker).

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 20,000 t/h
✓ Belt width: 800 – 2600 mm (30” – 102”)

PIPE CONVEYORS

Pipe Conveyors are troughed conveyors which form an enclosed pipe shortly after transfer points, by increasing transition idler angles to eventually form five-or-six roll idler configurations around a desired diameter. Pipe conveyors eliminate spillage and dust emissions and are thus environmentally friendly, while providing ability to negotiate tight horizontal and vertical curves, and steeper inclines.

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 8,000 t/h
✓ Pipe Diameter: up to 850 mm
