Conveyors & Feeders

ALPINE conveyors and feeders are designed to meet any material, capacity, and environmental needs. We are experts in conveyor installation, operation, and maintenance, as well as various configurations, dynamic loads, mechanical and regenerative braking, active winching, and VFD technology, and we offer full system installations or individual components.

OVERLAND TYPE

Overland Conveyors are an environmentally friendly, economical, continuous and automated alternative to trucks for transporting materials over long distances and with high throughput, between a mine (pit) and process plant, waste dump or shipping terminal. They are typically installed in light ground stringers supported on sleepers or cast concrete footings, following natural grade of terrain, often with horizontal and vertical curves.

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 20,000 t/h
✓ Belt width: 800 – 2600 mm (30” – 102”)

IN-PLANT TYPE

In-plant Conveyors are troughed conveyors that transport material within the plant and can be installed at ground level or in elevated galleries. Conveyors are often enclosed or covered to contain dust, prevent material contamination, and protect equipment and personnel. Transfer stations with chute work connect different conveyors into a system, with fixed or movable discharge point (via tripper, shuttle conveyor or radial stacker).

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 10,000 t/h
✓ Belt width: 800 – 2200 mm (30” – 84”)

UNDERGROUND TYPE

Underground Conveyors are modular systems, roof or floor mounted, consisting of transfer, loading, drive and tail stations, take-up systems, belt storage units and idler structure. Harsh conditions, hazardous environment, and long-haul distances with undulating profiles make underground mining especially challenging for conveyors. ALPINE supplies innovative, robust and modular designs that allow for rapid transportation, installation, removal or redeployment, and also the shortening or extending of conveyor lengths.

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 8,000 t/h
✓ Belt width: 800 – 2200 mm (30” – 84”)

SHIFTABLE TYPE

Shiftable Conveyors are robust mine conveyors, mounted on steel sleepers that are connected by rails which often support a mobile Tripper that feeds a Spreader. Shiftable Conveyors are modular in design, consisting of pontoon mounted Head/Drive/Take-up and Tail modules, optional Belt Storage Units and conveyor tables. Shiftable Conveyors are used for long, straight mining or dump faces, and are relocated at regular intervals.

✓ Feeding capacity: up to 20,000 t/h

EXTENDABLE / RELOCATABLE TYPE

Extendable and Relocatable Mine Conveyors are a true alternative to traditional truck haulage or fixed conveyors which are not cost effective for short durations. They are flexible to adapt to changing mining methods, reusable, have reduced civil works and ground remediation requirements, are easy to transport, and significantly quicker to install and re-deploy.

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 20,000 t/h
✓ Belt width: 800 – 2600 mm (30” – 102”)

MOBILE TYPE

Mobile Conveyors are typically used in overburden, waste rock, heap leach or filtered tailings applications. Fully mobile, they consist of ~50 m long segments, supported on crawlers, to form a long bridge conveyor. If used in stacking, the bridge also supports a traveling tripper with a reversible cross conveyor. Mobile Conveyors can move in radial or parallel fashion.

✓ Conveying capacity: up to 12,000 t/h
✓ Overall length: up to ~1,200 m
